Purpose of the Invention

  • Provides users with a versatile cooking system equipped with an internal rotating spit for rotisserie-style cooking.

  • Features a pair of charcoal storage units in the base to cook food on the spit that can be utilized for easily disposing of ash once finished.

  • Allows people to cook food for large numbers of people being served at food truck locations, tailgates, graduation parties, while camping, and much more.

  • Offers portability for a rotisserie cooker which are typically too large to transport.

Problems Solved by the Invention

People who enjoy outdoor cooking at barbecues, tailgate parties, graduation parties, and numerous other social events may not have access to all types of cooking equipment they desire. Typically, easily accessible and portable equipment like grills and smokers are the only tools available to use away from home. People serving a considerable number of guests may want to utilize a rotisserie style cooker and be unable to do so with current equipment. Transporting a standard rotisserie cooker is nearly impossible due to its size.

Detailed Description

Compact Versatile Portable Cooker is a multipurpose, innovative, and versatile cooking system for roasting food on a rotating spit. The system is comprised of a fire pan, a cover, and a pair of support racks adapted to support a spit, and adapted to be attached to the opposed ends of the fire pan. Front and back plates are hinged to the fire pan, and one can alternately either secure the cover or the support racks to the fire pan. This functionality also provides the support racks with a support for the spit above the fire pan. Additional components include two small wheels, a small electric motor or a hand crank to rotate the spit, and a gas burner. An extra, optional metal grill can also be added.

Users can easily transport the system when it is compacted into a suitcase-style configuration. There are one or more handles used to pull the system along the ground via the wheels. Once a location is reached, the exterior covers can be removed, and the cooking system can be expanded to utilize the rotating spit.
